Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ScamResponse.ca website and services. By using our website or submitting a case inquiry, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Last updated: April 2026.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the ScamResponse.ca website, submitting a case inquiry, or engaging our investigation services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and clients of ScamResponse.ca. “We”, “us”, and “our” refers to ScamResponse.ca. “You” refers to any individual or organisation accessing our website or using our services.
2. Description of Services
ScamResponse.ca provides fraud investigation services, including identity verification, communication analysis, payment trail documentation, and the production of structured evidence reports for use in bank disputes, legal proceedings, and financial recovery efforts.
Our services are provided on the basis of a formal engagement following a free case assessment. Submission of a case inquiry does not constitute an engagement of our services or create any obligation on either party.
All services are provided remotely to clients across Canada.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
ScamResponse.ca produces investigation reports. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from the use of those reports, including but not limited to the success of bank disputes, the recovery of funds, legal victories, regulatory action, or insurance claims.
We provide an honest assessment of what the investigation can achieve before any engagement proceeds. Clients engage our services on the understanding that outcomes are determined by third parties — banks, courts, insurers, and regulators — over whom we have no control.
Any service, whether operating under the ScamResponse.ca name or otherwise, that guarantees the recovery of funds should be treated with extreme caution.
4. Not Legal Advice
Nothing on the ScamResponse.ca website, in our communications, or in any investigation report we produce constitutes legal advice. Our reports are produced for use by legal counsel and financial institutions — they are not a substitute for professional legal representation.
If you require legal advice in connection with a fraud matter, we recommend engaging a qualified fraud lawyer. Our investigation report is designed to give that lawyer a complete, structured foundation to work from.
5. Accuracy of Information Provided
By submitting a case inquiry or engaging our services, you confirm that all information and evidence you provide is accurate, complete, and honestly represents your situation to the best of your knowledge.
ScamResponse.ca relies on the information provided by clients to conduct investigations and produce reports. We are not responsible for the accuracy of reports produced on the basis of inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by the client.
You must not submit false, fabricated, or misleading evidence. Doing so may result in immediate termination of your engagement without refund.
6. Confidentiality
ScamResponse.ca treats all case information, evidence, and personal details as strictly confidential. We do not share your information with third parties without your explicit consent, subject to the exceptions outlined in our Privacy Policy.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge that the investigation process requires us to analyse the information you provide, which may include sensitive personal and financial details. This analysis is conducted solely for the purpose of producing your investigation report.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the ScamResponse.ca website — including text, design, graphics, and code — is the property of ScamResponse.ca and is protected by applicable Canadian intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any website content without our prior written permission.
Investigation reports produced by ScamResponse.ca are provided to the client for their personal use in connection with the fraud matter for which they were produced. Reports may not be resold, redistributed, or published without our prior written consent.
8. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the ScamResponse.ca website or services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm us, our clients, or third parties. Prohibited uses include but are not limited to:
Submitting false or fabricated case information with the intent to misuse investigation services. Using our services to investigate individuals without a legitimate fraud claim. Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data. Reproducing or misrepresenting our investigation reports. Impersonating ScamResponse.ca or claiming to represent us without authorisation.
9. Payment and Refunds
The free case assessment involves no payment and no obligation. If you choose to engage our investigation services following the assessment, the terms of payment, scope of work, and deliverables will be agreed in writing before any payment is made.
Refund terms are specific to each engagement and will be set out in the service agreement. In general, fees are non-refundable once investigation work has commenced, except where we are unable to deliver the agreed report due to circumstances within our control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, ScamResponse.ca shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, including but not limited to losses resulting from the failure of a bank dispute, legal proceeding, insurance claim, or any other process to which an investigation report is submitted.
Our total liability to you in connection with any engagement shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that specific engagement.
11. Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to external websites for reference purposes. ScamResponse.ca is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked third-party website. Links do not constitute endorsement.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which ScamResponse.ca operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that province.
